In the old tales of Japan, Amaterasu (天照) is the goddess of the sun—radiant, life-giving, and steadfast.

Symbol of light, clarity, and sacred presence.

Her light brings warmth to the earth, awakens the seasons, and restores harmony to the world.

She is the dawn after the longest night, the quiet glow that reminds us that darkness is never the end. Her presence whispers of renewal, of the eternal cycle of light returning.

For Japanese people, Amaterasu has been a remembrance of this truth: within every heart, there is a sun that can never be extinguished.

The Story Behind the Logo
When I dreamed of a symbol for Amateras, I wanted it to hold the same light that Amaterasu carries — the kind that brings clarity and sacred presence. At the center, I placed the sakura, Japan’s gentle flower of renewal, blooming with the warmth of spring and the tenderness of beginnings.

Around it flow soft, curving lines inspired by Indonesia’s batik and kawung patterns — a reflection of my second home, where grace and harmony weave through a diverse and welcoming land. To me, these curves are like the open arms of the universe, holding both strength and softness.

This logo is more than design — it is my roots, my heritage, and my wish for this path: that we may walk together in light, in grace, and in harmony.
